Since its founding in 2008, Life Is Living has embodied the revolutionary spirit of Oakland while uplifting joy, creativity, and resilience. This year's theme "Hella Solidarity" extends the festival's commitment to local and international struggles for liberation, linking Oakland to Palestine, Sudan, Congo, and Haiti."
The 18th Annual Life Is Living Festival takes place Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Lil Bobby Hutton | DeFremery Park in Oakland from 11 AM to 4 PM. The festival centers the theme "Hella Solidarity," linking Oakland to struggles in Palestine, Sudan, Congo, and Haiti. Free Breakfast offers a Solidarity Menu in honor of the Black Panther Party and highlights international foods.
