Architectural design and delivery involved ZHA with Patrik Schumacher as principal and a large project team including Nils Fischer, Lei Zheng, Jakub Klaska and many associates and designers. Executive architect was Arcplus Institute of Shanghai; local architect was Intelligent Design for Emerging Architecture (iDEA). General contractor was Shaanxi Construction Engineering Group Co., Ltd., with fire engineering by AISA and Tianjin TEDA Fire Technology Co., Ltd., and stadium seating by Clive Lewis/CNS Group. The 60,000-seat Xi'an International Football Centre and associated training grounds hosted China's U-23 team in Group D qualifying matches for the 2026 Asian Cup and provides high-standard facilities to nurture football development in China.
