Wrexham 3-2 Norwich City (Sep 20, 2025) Game Analysis - ESPN
"Wrexham came from behind to secure an impressive 3-2 win at Norwich on Saturday to ease the pressure on manager Phil Parkinson. The Welsh side were a goal down at the break courtesy of a controversial goal from Jack Stacey but hit back in spectacular fashion by scoring three times in 14 second half minutes. Captain Josh Windass netted twice, with a goal from Ryan Longman sandwiched in between, as Wrexham claimed their second win of the season to lift themselves to 15th in the table."
"The first meeting between these two sides for nearly 44 years got off to a lively start, with the visitors twice going close in the opening quarter. Goalkeeper Vladan Kovacevic made a superb one-handed save to keep out a Lewis O'Brien free-kick that was heading into the top corner and then Windass was denied by the woodwork after trying his luck when a short corner caught Norwich out. But it was far from one-way traffic with the Canaries having plenty of the ball and Matej Jurásek drawing a good save out of Arthur Okonkwo after bursting clear down the right."
Wrexham overturned a first-half deficit to claim a 3-2 victory at Norwich, reducing pressure on manager Phil Parkinson. Norwich took the lead when Jack Stacey scored after the assistant referee's flag stayed down. Wrexham responded immediately after halftime, scoring three goals in a 14-minute span, with Josh Windass scoring twice and Ryan Longman adding the other. Norwich substitute Jovon Makama pulled one back in stoppage time but the goal was only consolation. The result moved Wrexham to 15th in the table and left Norwich with four home defeats this season.
