"BBC Sport have announced the purchase of an exclusive rights package to broadcast the competition for the next five seasons, including showing each final. The BBC's rights package will entitle them to up to seven live matches a season. The final is expected to be selected each season, as well as marquee matches involving participating English clubs. Matches available on BBC television will also be streamable on BBC iPlayer, the public broadcaster has said."
"The Women's Champions League now follows the style of the men's competition, though, and is a league format. The 18 participating teams, who were in three different seeding pots, each face six different teams - playing half of those matches at home and half of them away. Highlights clips from the competition's action will also be available across BBC Sport's digital platforms as part of the five-year contract."
