Wolverhampton Wanderers have decided not to sell Hwang Hee-chan this summer despite approaches from two Premier League clubs. The club’s board and manager Vitor Pereira regard Hwang as an important part of their near-future plans. Hwang joined on an initial loan from RB Leipzig in 2021 and the transfer was made permanent in 2022 for a reported fee of around €17 million. The 29-year-old forward has made 121 appearances for Wolves, scoring 24 goals and providing eight assists, and has 71 caps for South Korea. His contract has three years remaining with an option for a further year.
