Wilkinson suggests Wales players are to retire
""I think it's an important game for those players that are going to retire, to play at home one more time," she said. "I think for our fans we never played a send-off game [before Euro 2025], it didn't work with our Nations League A games. "So [it is] an opportunity to play one of the top teams in the world again at home, but also to thank a few of our players for how much they've given to their country.""
""have a little think""
Rhian Wilkinson indicated several senior Wales internationals may retire following Euro 2025, with a friendly against Australia in Cardiff on 25 October offered as potential home farewells. Jess Fishlock, Wales' most-capped player and top scorer, remains undecided about her international future after signing a one-year deal with Seattle Reign. Sophie Ingle, Rhiannon Roberts and Kayleigh Barton are among senior figures who have recently changed clubs or retired. Other experienced squad members include Josie Green, Rachel Rowe and goalkeeper Laura O'Sullivan-Jones. Wales plans to bring younger players through as part of an ongoing transition.
