Second Round matches take place this weekend with teams from League One and below competing for places in the Third Round. The Third Round will see all 24 Championship teams and all 20 Premier League sides enter the competition, creating 64 teams and 32 ties. At least one sixth-tier side is guaranteed in the draw after Macclesfield drew Slough Town in the Second Round. The draw will be conducted on Monday 8 December, broadcast live on TNT Sports around the Brackley Town v Burton Albion game, and hosted by Darren Fletcher and Ally McCoist. Ball numbers will be set once Second Round results are known, with earlier-alphabet names usually receiving lower numbers.
