The victory put Lens level with Marseille on 25 points at the top of Ligue 1, one point ahead of defending champion PSG. Marseille beat Brest 3-0 with goals from Angel Gomes, Mason Greenwood and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Balogun was named to the U.S. roster for November friendlies against Paraguay and Uruguay.
