"The United States women's national soccer team is returning to the South Bay. U.S. Soccer announced Saturday that PayPal Park in San Jose will host the U.S women's national team on April 11. It will be the first of three matches in the April international window against Japan, a longtime rival that has been a part of some of the most famous games in USWNT history."
"Japan is one of the best teams in the world, U.S. head coach Emma Hayes said in a news release. I'm a big admirer of how they play and I have tremendous respect for their team and identity. They are a highly experienced group and are fully committed to their style of football. Playing the same opponent three times is unusual but it presents a great challenge and a chance to test ourselves against a top-quality opponent."
"The April 11 match will mark the USA's sixth all-time match at PayPal Park, where the team is 5-1-0 and has consistently played in front of large crowds. The most recent match at PayPal was the USA's first loss at the venue, a 2-1 setback to Brazil on April 8, 2025, when the U.S. started its least experienced starting 11 in the past 25 years."
The U.S. women's national team will play Japan at PayPal Park in San Jose on April 11 as the first of three April international-window matches against the longtime rival. PayPal Park hosted both U.S. senior national teams in 2025, including the USWNT's Olympic gold-medal rematch with Brazil and later U.S. men's Gold Cup action. The USA holds a 5-1-0 record at PayPal Park, with the most recent match a 2-1 loss to Brazil on April 8, 2025 when the team fielded its least experienced starting XI in 25 years. Additional Japan matches are set for April 14 in Seattle and April 17 in Commerce City, Colorado. Presales run Monday through Thursday, with Bay FC season-ticket members receiving presale access beginning Tuesday at 10 a.m.
