Uli Hoene confirms existence of Harry Kane's release clause, Bayern Munich's desire to extend his contract
"He's had a release clause until the end of January of every year. We assume that he will definitely fulfill his contract until 2027. And if it were up to us - and I've heard he wants it too - then he will extend,"
"His family feels very comfortable. In Munich, you can still go about your business in peace. Harry Kane only ever worked with bodyguards at home (in London). You don't necessarily need that kind of life."
Harry Kane has had a release clause allowing departure until the end of January each year. The prevailing expectation is that he will honor his contract through 2027. Bayern Munich desire a contract extension and indications suggest Kane wants to extend as well. Kane's family feels very comfortable in Munich, where daily life offers greater privacy than in London and bodyguard presence is unnecessary. The release clause meant Kane could have left in January 2024, six months after signing, but visible signs point to his happiness in Munich and a solid basis for contract negotiations.
