Twenty-seven summoned players are from Super Lig clubs, including Galatasaray and Besiktas. Galatasaray left back Eren Elmali was dropped from the national team and said the allegation stemmed from a single bet years ago. The TFF disclosed 152 match officials allegedly bet on matches and has suspended 149 referees for eight to 12 months; the suspected referees deny the allegations.
