Alexander Isak completed a deadline-day transfer from Newcastle United to Liverpool after effectively going on strike, generating hostility among some Newcastle supporters. Isak joined a Sweden attack that included Viktor Gyokeres but could not prevent a 1-0 World Cup qualifying defeat to Kosovo, ranked 91st by FIFA.
