"I'm starting off with a bit of chaos caused by one of Arsenal's famous attacking corner routines, this time at the north London Derby early in the year. As a photographer I can plan around these, knowing with a fair level of certainty where the ball is going to be played. This image is taken on a remote camera tucked low down behind one of the poles holding the net up. I've angled it and fixed the focus on exactly the area I think a corner would be aimed."
"Elliot Daly, on as a sub, burst on to a short pass from Fin Smith, ran around Antoine Dupont, the best player in the world, and scored a try by the posts. The conversion was duly kicked over and England won. I love the look on Daly's face in this picture. Is it determination, or maybe a slight hint of fear facing up to Dupont? There's no doubt for Marcus Smith in the background he's already celebrating."
Selected images span major sporting events and personal stories, with many unpublished photographs chosen for news value, aesthetic appeal, or narrative interest. Arsenal v Spurs is captured using a 30mm lens at 1/1600, f4.5, ISO 5000 from a remote camera positioned low behind a goalpost to catch an orchestrated attacking corner; the Emirates provides clean, dark backgrounds and ideal low shooting angles. England v France shows Elliot Daly's match-winning try after evading Antoine Dupont, with Marcus Smith already celebrating; England then went unbeaten for the rest of the year. Royal Albert Hall hosted the first all-female boxing card headlined by Lauren Price and Natasha Jonas, photographed with a 24mm lens at 1/800, f2.8, ISO 4000.
