The 2026 FIFA World Cup draw has arrived to D.C. What to know, from process to scheduled VIPs
""I'm quite optimistic because to qualify you need to beat the other teams of your confederations, and that's a sign of quality,""
""The teams are not there by coincidence.""
""We basically set the new tone in terms of attendance, in terms of surrounding the tournament with a lot of entertainment and glamor,""
FIFA expanded the World Cup to 48 nations with tickets largely priced for affluent fans. The group draw takes place at the Kennedy Center ahead of the June 11–July 19 tournament across 16 sites in the United States, Mexico and Canada. Cape Verde, Curaçao, Jordan and Uzbekistan will make their World Cup debuts. The world's top 11-ranked teams have qualified while 22 nations, including Italy, compete in playoffs for six remaining berths. Matches will be held at 11 NFL stadiums, three Mexican venues and two Canadian sites with temporary seating additions.
