Marc-Andre ter Stegen has joined Girona on loan for the rest of the season after nearly 12 years at Barcelona. He won six LaLiga titles and the Champions League in his first campaign with Barcelona. Since 2014-15 only Jan Oblak (181) has more LaLiga clean sheets than Ter Stegen (128 in 291), and Ter Stegen has made 727 saves, the third-most in that period. He made one appearance this season, was temporarily stripped of the captaincy after refusing to share medical data following a back procedure, and aims to help Girona avoid relegation while pushing for World Cup selection.
