
Lyle Taylor has scored eight goals in Chelmsford City's four FA Cup wins this season, putting him in contention for the competition's Golden Ball. Chelmsford City host Weston-super-Mare in a second-round tie with an opportunity to reach the third round for only the third time in the club's history; previous third-round appearances came in 1938-39 and 1972-73. A third-round run could produce a tie against Premier League opposition. Taylor previously finished as Colchester United's top scorer with 13 goals last season but suffered a calf injury and subsequently moved down two levels to join newly fully professional Chelmsford.
