Stockport beat Port Vale to reach EFL Trophy last four
"Stockport County reached the EFL Trophy semi-finals with a 4-0 win over Port Vale at Vale Park. Adama Sidibeh's first goal for the club put Stockport ahead at half-time, as he converted well from Malik Mothersille's byeline cutback. Sidibeh doubled his tally and Stockport's lead just shy of the hour as he headed in from Ollie Norwood's corner. An own goal from Vale goalkeeper Ben Amos, who spilled a Norwood corner over the line, and Jack Diamond's strike in added time completed the rout."
"Doncaster Rovers knocked out Huddersfield Town with a 2-0 win on penalties after a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes. Rovers took the lead before half-time through Billy Sharp's penalty. The veteran striker firing home after Tom Nixon had been fouled in the area by Murray Wallace. Cameron Ashia's wonderful curling effort brought Huddersfield back on level terms after 52 minutes, capping a swift counter attack set in motion by Bobby Wales' initial pass but neither side could find a winner in normal time."
Stockport County beat Port Vale 4-0 at Vale Park with Adama Sidibeh scoring twice, a Ben Amos own goal and a late Jack Diamond strike completing the victory. Northampton Town defeated AFC Wimbledon 2-1 as Jack Vale opened the scoring, Matty Stevens equalised early in the second half, and Tom Eaves finished from Kyle McAdam's cross to send Northampton through. Doncaster Rovers progressed past Huddersfield Town on penalties after a 1-1 draw; Billy Sharp scored a first-half penalty and Cameron Ashia levelled, before Doncaster prevailed in the shootout. Luton v Plymouth will decide the remaining semi-final spot on 24 February.
