Barney Stewart, 21, scored a hat-trick as Falkirk beat Hibernian 4-1 to secure a top-six Premiership place. Stewart signed for Falkirk in October 2024 from Heriot-Watt University while studying for an honours degree in sport and exercise science. A three-month loan at Dunfermline produced seven goals in 11 games and prompted his recall. Stewart's goals were composed of one-touch finishes inside the six-yard box and showcased running power, strength and clinical finishing against established internationals. Manager McGlynn has built a core of lower-league players, enabling rapid progression from university and Lowland league football to the top flight.
