Spurs open to selling forward Johnson
"Tottenham's Europa League final match-winner Brennan Johnson is facing an uncertain future at the club amid growing Premier League interest in the attacker. BBC Sport understands that Tottenham, while not actively looking to sell the Wales international, are open to letting Johnson leave should they receive a suitable offer. Crystal Palace are currently the club most advanced in their interest for Johnson, but other teams are believed to be monitoring his situation closely."
"Johnson was Tottenham's leading Premier League goalscorer last season with 11, and etched his name in Spurs folklore by scoring the winner in their Europa League final triumph over Manchester United in Bilbao, ending the club's 17-year wait for a trophy. But the departure of Ange Postecoglou and arrival of Thomas Frank as new head coach has meant Johnson has played more of a peripheral role this season. Johnson, 24, has made only six top-flight starts under Frank this season."
Tottenham are open to selling Brennan Johnson if a suitable offer arrives, with Crystal Palace the most advanced interested club and others monitoring his situation. Johnson scored the Europa League final winner and was Tottenham's top Premier League scorer last season with 11 goals, but managerial change from Ange Postecoglou to Thomas Frank has reduced his playing time. At 24, Johnson has made only six Premier League starts under Frank this season and has scored 27 goals since joining from Nottingham Forest for £47.5m in summer 2023. Limited action and an upcoming World Cup with Wales make a January move plausible.
