Spurs in Vuskovic loan talks with Hamburg and hope Bissouma will join Galatasaray
Briefly

Tottenham have progressed in talks to loan 18-year-old centre-back Luka Vuskovic to Hamburg, with a season-long deal and no options expected before Monday's deadline. The club are also seeking to move Yves Bissouma to Galatasaray. Bissouma, out of contract next summer, has fallen to the bottom of the central midfield pecking order after repeated timekeeping issues. Vuskovic joined Spurs this summer after a move agreed in September 2023 and produced a goal and an assist in the pre-season win at Reading before his minutes diminished. Hamburg have monitored him and see him behind Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Kevin Danso. Other centre-back options include Radu Dragusin, Kota Takai and Ben Davies, though Takai has battled a heel injury.

Hamburg, who won promotion back into the Bundesliga last season, have monitored Vuskovic throughout the summer and can see he is behind Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Kevin Danso in Frank's thinking. The head coach also has Radu Dragusin, who is fighting back from an anterior cruciate ligament rupture sustained in late January, and the new signing Kota Takai as options at centre-half, not to mention Ben Davies. Takai has not yet featured as he has battled a heel injury.
