Moises Caicedo is viewed as a separate pursuit with a different midfield role and could be considered an upgrade on Aurelien Tchouameni. Liverpool and Chelsea are unlikely to sell major midfielders easily, so Mac Allister and Fernandez would be difficult signings without very large transfer fees. Adam Wharton is seen as the most realistic option given Crystal Palace's recent tendency to sell rising talents.
