Emma Sears signed a new contract with Racing Louisville FC through the 2028 NWSL season. She is tied for third in the NWSL Golden Boot race with 10 goals this season, scoring a brace in a 3-1 win over the North Carolina Courage and the lone goal in a 1-0 victory over Angel City FC. Racing Louisville sits seventh in the standings with three games remaining; the top eight make the playoffs and Louisville previously finished ninth in each of its four seasons. Sears joined Louisville as a second-round pick in the 2024 NWSL Draft, has eight caps for the United States, worked with USWNT head coach Emma Hayes on improving her final pass, and contributed an assist in a 4-0 win over Ireland while emphasizing greater consistency and game flow.
