Sikh owners, Sikh manager - what Morecambe takeover means to community

Panjab Warriors completed a takeover of Morecambe, making them the first Sikh investors to own a professional football club in England. Ashvir Singh Johal, aged 30, was appointed manager, becoming the first Sikh boss at a professional British club. The ownership group intends to foreground Punjabi heritage, culture and Sikh faith, and to apply values such as discipline, trustfulness and compassion to club management.
