Thomas Frank was sacked as Tottenham manager after a defeat to Newcastle left the club in 16th place and recorded the worst Premier League win rate in the club's history (26.9%). Tottenham sit five points above the relegation zone but have qualified for the Champions League knockout stages. Tim Sherwood expects John Heitinga, who joined Frank's coaching staff last month after being sacked by Ajax earlier this season, to be appointed as interim manager.
