"We have to accept it even though we don't agree. A touch and a contact is not enough, and that is what the referees said to us before the start of the season. And in certain moments they don't do it, that's just the truth. Contact doesn't mean foul and in this situation it's contact, maybe a little bit, but it's not a foul. It doesn't make sense."
"It was a nice goal. We all know what he is capable of. But, we all prefer to win."
"I've seen him score better in training, but that was unbelievable. I think you've seen glimpses, and there'll be many more things to come from him."
Charalampos Kostoulas produced an acrobatic overhead-kick stoppage-time equaliser at the Amex Stadium after coming on as a substitute for Brighton. The 18-year-old Greek forward signed from Olympiakos for £29.78m and has made 17 appearances with two goals since his arrival. Brighton trailed after a hotly disputed VAR-awarded penalty, which manager Fabian Hurzeler criticised as contact rather than a foul and called refereeing inconsistent. Kostoulas made his professional debut in 2024, scored seven goals in 22 league appearances for Olympiakos last season, and a £1.7m add-on could make his transfer a record for a Greek player. Captain Lewis Dunk praised his potential.
