Sargent 'vital' to Norwich and 'worldie' free-kicks - Championship takeaways
Briefly

Southampton and Watford drew 2-2 at Vicarage Road, with Ryan Manning and Nestory Irankunda scoring remarkable free-kicks. Both set-pieces highlighted each player's technique; Irankunda's strike was described as a worldie. Southampton carry high expectations after relegation from the Premier League, while both sides still seek defensive consistency despite potent attacking options. Ipswich Town earned a dramatic 2-2 draw with Derby County when Jack Clarke converted a penalty in the 16th minute of stoppage time, denying Derby a first win. Derby face pressure to collect points to avoid a potential relegation battle. The Championship produced entertainment and late drama across the fixtures.
As a game it was a fantastic spectacle and both teams had chances. I think it was fitting that they both scored unbelievable free-kicks. Manning's was outstanding but he was definitely out-done by Irankunda - it was a worldie. I like the look of both sides and there is a lot of expectation on them both, especially Southampton as they have just come down from the Premier League.
Both of them seem like they are still trying to find their feet and get a level of consistency. While there are some questions about them defensively, there is no doubt that in attack they pose huge threat. With those two quality free-kicks it's a bit of 'anything you can do, I can do better'. As a fan watching, it was incredible and I'm sure both managers were holding their heads because those were both out of the top drawer.
That Ipswich leveller is about as late as they come. Derby will be absolutely gutted to lose it that late on in injury time, it's a huge blow for them and they need to start getting some points on the board and move up the table or they could find themselves in a relegation fight.
