Allan Saint-Maximin departed Club América by mutual consent after saying his children were the victims of racist abuse. He posted on social media describing attacks and stating that protecting his children is his priority. He vowed to fight to ensure his children are respected and loved regardless of their background or skin colour and condemned hate and discrimination. Saint-Maximin has played for Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia and Fenerbahçe in Turkey since leaving St James' Park in 2023. Club América coach André Jardine described him as a fantastic player with the ability to play in any league and wished him well.
