Rohl urges Rangers to focus on small steps after another European defeat - Soccer News
""At the moment, on this journey, we have to make small steps and our focus is on Sunday [away to Dundee] to get a third league win in a row,""
""There was not so much in the game. Two times they were clinical. Until minute 75, we were in the game. But you need the momentum, to score, to come back,""
""In some moments we were not sharp enough. In the second half, we found more space and were more flexible.""
Danny Rohl urged his side to take 'small steps' on their rebuilding journey after a 2-0 Europa League defeat by Roma at Ibrox. Matias Soule and Lorenzo Pellegrini scored in the first half as Rangers suffered a seventh straight European loss, and a fourth straight Europa League defeat this season. The club has lost 10 European matches in 2025 and conceded opening goals in five consecutive major European games for the first time since 1962–63. Rangers have 16 defeats across all competitions in 2025, their worst calendar-year tally since the 1980s. Missed chances and clinical opposition finishing proved decisive.
