Report: Bayern Munich striker Jonah Kusi-Asare to go on loan
Briefly

Jonah Kusi-Asare was initially expected to remain at Bayern Munich as a backup to Harry Kane, but club plans shifted to recruit Nicolas Jackson as Kane’s primary understudy. Jackson brings two seasons at Chelsea and a year starting for Villarreal, producing double-digit league goals in each of the past three seasons while contributing assists. As a result, Kusi-Asare is a candidate to leave Bayern on loan before the deadline, with PSV, Slavia Prague, and Werder Bremen among interested clubs. A loan move would provide Kusi-Asare more playing time and development opportunities while giving Bayern greater assurance behind Kane.
Season plans can change in a flash. That appears to be the case for Bayern Munich youngster Jonah Kusi-Asare. Earlier in the preseason, the 18-year-old was touted as a possible backup to Harry Kane, and it looked as if he might just stick around in the senior team. But Bayern's transfer plans - or loan, as it were - appear to have settled on Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson. The 24-year-old Senegalese international is now poised instead to spell Kane,
From a Bayern perspective, this could be the best move for all parties. Jackson has two solid years of experience at Chelsea and one year of starting for Villarreal in La Liga before that - hitting double-digits in league goals in each of the past three seasons while adding a handful of assists. That kind of production offers more assurance behind Kane than a youngster just breaking into the first team.
