"Gabriel Martinelli was also one of the targets considered by Bayern for the wing position. Bayern spoke to his agents - it was a positive conversation - but Martinelli was happy at Arsenal, and the Premier League side had no intention to accept €30-35m, that's why the negotiations didn't advance [@FabrizioRomano] Martinelli has had a solid career since arriving at Arsenal as a teenager in 2019/20."
"But the 24-year-old is still young, energetic, and a fine goal-scorer on his day. Bayern got the more lethal player in Luis Díaz, so all's well that ends well. As for Martinelli, the Brazilian has started two of Arsenal's opening four Premier League matches and most recently found himself coming off the bench against Nottingham Forest in favor of newcomers Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze on either wing."
Bayern Munich explored Gabriel Martinelli as a summer wing target and held positive talks with his agents. Arsenal dismissed a €30–35m approach and Martinelli remained content at his club. Martinelli joined Arsenal as a teenager in 2019/20 and peaked in 2022/23 with regular Premier League starts, though his role has reduced over the last two seasons. The 24-year-old retains youth, energy, and goal-scoring ability. Bayern instead signed Luis Díaz. Martinelli started two of Arsenal’s opening four league matches, was recently used as a substitute, and remains under contract through 2027 with added homegrown registration value.
