Tatjana Haenni will start as head of RB Leipzig's management board on January 1, 2026. She succeeds Oliver Mintzlaff, who moves to chair the club's supervisory board. Haenni becomes the first woman to hold the club-boss role in German football. She is a former international player with 23 appearances and has extensive administrative experience at UEFA, FIFA and the Swiss Football Association. Club leaders highlighted her expertise, specialist knowledge, leadership strength and strategic thinking. Other women have held senior management roles at German clubs, but none had previously held the top job.
