Ricardo Pereira praised Jeremy Monga after Leicester City beat Birmingham City 2-0 at the King Power Stadium. Both Pereira and Monga came off the bench and combined for the second goal, with Abdul Fatawu opening the scoring in the eighth minute. Two minutes from time Monga's footwork created space for a cross to the back post that Pereira tucked home from close range. Leicester moved up to third in the Championship, despite having a lower xG (0.56) than Birmingham (0.83). Monga previously became the youngest Championship goalscorer at 16 years and 37 days.
