Palace's Mateta: No bad blood with Zaha after feud
"I spoke with him. Everything is good,"
"I'm focused on my season,"
"I am very proud of myself. I am very happy. I think I deserved it because I train very hard with all of the team. It's a dream come true and I hope I get called upon again,"
Jean-Philippe Mateta and Wilfried Zaha privately resolved a public disagreement and have no lingering bad blood. Mateta earned his first senior France call-up this month and scored on his international debut in a 2-2 draw with Iceland. He scored a hat-trick in a 3-3 Premier League draw with Bournemouth and sits joint third in the Premier League scoring charts with five goals in eight games. Mateta’s contract runs until summer 2027, but he is prioritizing the current season and match preparation over contract talks.
