Lizbeth Ovalle moved from Tigres UANL to Orlando Pride in a record-breaking $1.5m transfer. The 25-year-old signed a two-year contract with a mutual option for a third year. Ovalle scored 136 goals and provided 103 assists in 294 appearances for Tigres, won six league titles, and left as the club's all-time leading scorer. She has 81 caps and 20 goals for Mexico and was named in the team of the tournament at the 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup. The transfer surpasses Arsenal's £1m signing of Olivia Smith; Chelsea's £900,000 signing of Naomi Girma ranks third.
