"I'm really happy to have signed a new contract. Leyton Orient means a lot to me, and I am grateful to the club for showing faith in me."
"My goal is to become established in our first team and I am doing everything I can to make that happen."
"I trust the gaffer and the staff here, they have a great record of improving players and they are constantly giving me advice to help me improve."
Zech Obiero, 20, has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Leyton Orient, including an option for an additional year. He joined Orient from Tottenham Hotspur's academy at age 16 and made his senior debut in 2022. Obiero has made 35 appearances for the club and scored one goal, which came in a 1-1 draw with Colchester United in the EFL Trophy last season. He has featured four times this season, most recently as an 89th-minute substitute in a 4-0 win at Burton Albion. Obiero aims to establish himself in the first team and credits the coaching staff for aiding his development.
