Marcelino Núñez is set to move from Norwich City to Ipswich Town in a deal reported to be worth about £10m as he enters the final 12 months of his contract. The transfer would be the first fee-based move between the East Anglian clubs since 2001. Danish midfielder Pelle Mattsson from Silkeborg is being considered as Núñez's replacement at Carrow Road. Núñez joined from Club Deportivo Universidad Católica in 2022 and has made 119 first-team appearances, scoring 12 goals and providing 10 assists. The 25-year-old has featured three times this season, scored in the EFL Cup, and is carrying an ankle injury sustained on 15 August.

BBC Radio Norfolk report that a deal worth 10m is expected to be completed with Norwich selling as the Chilean is in the final 12 months of his contract. This deal represents the first time the East Anglian clubs have agreed a transfer involving a fee since goalkeeper Andy Marshall made the same switch in 2001.
