Nigeria v Morocco: Line-ups, stats and preview
"The team has been so strong at previous AFCONs, but [we were] young and learning about each other. I feel like everyone's now entering their prime. There's a big unity and a big family, and that starts from the coach as well as the players. That's bringing out the best in me and all the players."
"We will have to be mentally strong, but an AFCON semi-final forces you to raise your concentration and running levels, so as not to allow Nigeria to breathe and comeback into the game with their technical and athletic [abilities]. It's going to be a good test for [Morocco] as well, because I think that they haven't yet come across a team like ours to see what they're really worth."
Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi praised the brotherhood in camp and credited coach Eric Chelle for fostering unity that is elevating players entering their prime. Nigeria have won all five games at AFCON 2025, including 4-0 over Mozambique and 2-0 over Algeria, and kept clean sheets in both knockout matches. Morocco beat Cameroon 2-0 and secured a narrow win over Tanzania but displayed a 20-minute drop-off in that game. Morocco coach Walid Regragui called for mental strength, higher concentration and running levels to prevent Nigeria regaining control. Wilfred Ndidi is suspended; Raphael Onyedika could replace him, while Bright Osayi-Samuel is doubtful.
