Chelsea strengthened its striker ranks by signing Joao Pedro from Brighton and Liam Delap from Ipswich Town, leaving Jackson out of manager Enzo Maresca's plans. Several Premier League clubs searched for attacking reinforcements this summer, but Bayern moved decisively to secure Jackson's services.
