Nashville SC v New England Revolution: Sky is the limit for hosts, says Callaghan - Soccer News
""I'm grateful to John [Ingram], Ian [Ayre] and Mike [Jacobs] for the opportunity to come here, and then the opportunity to stay here," Callaghan said. "The other thing I'm really grateful for is the people I get to work with and alongside. That's the players, the staff, the coaches. It's really easy to come to work at Nashville SC. The city's a great place to live, the club's a great place to work, the players are great to work with.""
""We're an ambitious club, we have ambitious ownership, and I don't think there's any real limit on where I want this group to go.""
Nashville SC begins the 2026 campaign at home against the New England Revolution after a standout 2025 season that finished sixth in the Eastern Conference and ended with a three-game playoff loss to Inter Miami. BJ Callaghan, appointed manager in July 2024, guided the club to its first U.S. Open Cup and set club records for single-season MLS wins (17), longest unbeaten runs (15 in all competitions, 12 in MLS), and single-season home wins (15). Callaghan signed an extension through 2028–29. New England replaced Caleb Porter with Marko Mitrovic after finishing 11th in the East and missing the postseason by 17 points; Mitrovic previously led the U.S. Under-20s to the 2025 U20 World Cup quarter-finals.
