Napoli 2-1 Juventus (Dec 7, 2025) Game Analysis - ESPN
"Rasmus Højlund scored twice as Napoli returned to the top of the Serie A table with a 2-1 win at home to Juventus. Victory saw the champions leapfrog Inter Milan by a point at the summit and dealt a massive blow to Juve's own title aspirations, leaving them trailing now by eight points. It was a chance for visiting boss Luciano Spalletti to earn a personal triumph against the team he led to the title in 2023, whilst also re-igniting his current side's campaign."
"Instead, they were undone by Antonio Conte's champions, with Højlund's two goals coming either side of a brilliantly-worked equaliser by Kenan Yildiz. Napoli went ahead after seven minutes. David Neres ran down the right outside of Teun Koopmeiners, who was well-beaten for pace, and crossed low to the near post. Arriving at speed was Højlund, who beat Lloyd Kelly to the ball and prodded it first-time past Michele Di Gregorio."
Rasmus Højlund scored twice to give Napoli a 2-1 victory over Juventus and return Napoli to the top of the Serie A table. The win moved the champions one point above Inter Milan and left Juventus eight points adrift in the title race. David Neres' right-sided run and low cross created the opening goal, and Højlund's brace came either side of Kenan Yildiz's brilliantly-worked equaliser. Scott McTominay struck the post before half-time, and goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio produced a fine stop to deny Giovanni Di Lorenzo. Pierre Kalulu avoided a red card after a studs-up challenge on Mathías Olivera.
