Donald Trump attended the FIFA Draw and received the inaugural 2025 FIFA Peace Prize from FIFA President Gianni Infantino. The FIFA Draw determines the groups of teams for the World Cup tournament. After the presentation, Trump proposed renaming American football to avoid confusion with soccer and to accommodate soccer fans. Trump argued that football in the United States is effectively soccer and said a new name should be devised for the other sport.
