Mohamed Salah hints at Liverpool exit in explosive interview, saying: 'It seems like someone doesn't want me at the club'
"I can't believe it, that I'm sitting on the bench for 90 minutes, I think it's the third time I've been benched. It's the first time in my career. I'm very disappointed, I've done so much for this club. Everyone has seen it in recent years, especially last season. I don't know why I'm sitting on the bench. It feels like the club is throwing me under the bus, that's how I feel."
"The club promised me a lot in the summer, but I've been on the bench for three games. I can't say they've kept their promises. I have said many times that I have a good relationship with the manager, but suddenly we don't have a relationship anymore. I don't know why. It seems like someone doesn't want me at the club."
Liverpool were held to a 3-3 draw by Leeds after twice surrendering the lead, leaving the team with just two wins in six matches. Mohamed Salah did not feature at Elland Road and has been benched multiple times in recent weeks. He expressed disbelief at sitting on the bench for 90 minutes and said he felt scapegoated and that the club was throwing him under the bus. He said promises made in the summer had not been kept and that his relationship with the manager had suddenly broken down. Salah will join Egypt's AFCON camp on December 15, said he will say goodbye at Anfield, and suggested he might not return.
