Luka Modric praises 21-year-old Petar Sucic as a strong player and a great person, capable of guiding Croatia's next generation to greater heights. Modric, alongside Ivan Rakitic, Marcelo Brozovic and Ivan Perisic, helped Croatia finish second in 2018 and third in 2022. Sucic started in World Cup qualifier wins over the Faroe Islands and Montenegro, playing alongside Modric in the latter match.
