Mexico will complete World Cup preparations with warm-up matches against Ghana (May 22 at home), Australia (May 30 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California) and Serbia (June 4 in Mexico). Venues for the two Mexican home matches have not been announced. Earlier friendlies include Iceland on Feb. 25 in Querétaro, Portugal on March 28 in Mexico City, and Belgium on March 31 in Chicago. Mexico opens the World Cup on June 11 against South Africa in the tournament opener at Azteca Stadium in Mexico City. Azteca Stadium is scheduled to reopen March 28 after closure since May 2024, with no alternate venue planned.
