"There's lots of potential with Tawanda and hopefully we can get the best out of him,"
"Having the experience to work under them was really good,"
"I'd like to say I've learned quite a lot, adapting to two high-level managers."
"When I was with Brendan, it was more about getting used to the environment. Enzo needed a platform - he was really good tactically."
Tawanda Maswanhise joined Motherwell after a two-week trial convinced manager Stuart Kettlewell to offer him a contract following his release from Leicester City, where he spent 13 years in the youth system. He made only one first-team appearance at Leicester but benefited from coaching under Brendan Rodgers and Enzo Maresca. Maswanhise has developed into a key attacking player for a high‑flying Motherwell side now third in the table and was named Scottish Premiership player of the month for November. He welcomes the challenge of facing Mohamed Salah at the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations and credits Jens Berthel Askou’s tactics for the team’s success.
