Luis Diaz admits he didn't think twice about joining Bayern Munich from Liverpool
"When FC Bayern approached me, I knew from the very first moment that I wanted to make this move. It filled me with pride because I'd known the club for a long time and knew what to expect there. It was a good decision - a decision for an incredible and fantastic team. And when you arrive somewhere new, you naturally want to give your best and feel comfortable where you are," he explained (via @iMiaSanMia)."
"When Liverpool beat Tottenham Hotspur to signing him back in the winter of 2022, Jürgen Klopp signed him from FC Porto for a fee of 40 million euros, but the 41 goals and 23 assists he tallied from 148 appearances across all competitions for The Reds significantly helped his market value increase. He also collected a Premier League title, two EFL Cups, Community Shield and a FA Cup along the way before it was time to move on to Bayern."
Luis Díaz moved from Liverpool FC to Bayern Munich after winning the Premier League with Arne Slot's side. Bayern paid €70 million after Liverpool had signed him from FC Porto in winter 2022 for €40 million. Díaz scored 41 goals and provided 23 assists in 148 appearances for Liverpool, helping secure a Premier League title, two EFL Cups, a Community Shield and an FA Cup. In his maiden Bayern season he has 19 goals and 15 assists from 32 appearances and has developed strong attacking chemistry with Harry Kane and Michael Olise. Díaz progressed from Barrancas to Porto, Liverpool and now Bayern.
