Liverpool in legal battle with Chelsea as club expected to shell out millions: report
Briefly

Sixteen-year-old Rio Ngumoha scored a stoppage-time winner for Liverpool after impressive pre-season form, including a goal at Anfield versus Athletic Club. Ngumoha moved from Chelsea last year after progressing through their pre-academy setup and was fast-tracked into first-team involvement by manager Arne Slot. Liverpool and Chelsea have not yet agreed a fee for the transfer. Players who move clubs before turning 17 are on scholarship forms and attract training compensation owed to the club that developed them. If clubs cannot agree a sum, an independent tribunal determines the payment, and past tribunals have set multimillion-pound fees.
