Liverpool ended a four-game losing run with a 5-1 victory at Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League. Hugo Ekitike, playing against his former club, levelled before Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai scored. Florian Wirtz returned to Germany and provided assists for Gakpo and Szoboszlai, recording his first goal contributions since his big-money arrival at Anfield. Arne Slot benched Mohamed Salah, and Liverpool conceded first when Rasmus Kristensen finished a counter. The Reds responded with three goals inside ten minutes to lead 3-1 at half-time. Alexander Isak was substituted at half-time for Federico Chiesa after another quiet display. The comprehensive win should boost Liverpool's confidence ahead of tougher upcoming opponents.
