Landon Donovan will be inducted into the San Jose Sports Hall of Fame on Nov. 6 as part of the 2025 class, with ceremonies at the SAP Center marking the hall's 30th anniversary. Donovan led the San Jose Earthquakes to MLS Cup championships as a 19‑year‑old, became a three‑time World Cup participant and a six‑time MLS Cup champion, ranking among the most decorated players in U.S. soccer. The class also honors Oak Grove coach Eddie Buller for his dominant high school record, Todd Clever as the most‑capped U.S. rugby player, Afsoon Roshanzamir Johnston for historic wrestling achievements and Olympic coaching success, and Mark Wilson for decades of executive leadership with the San Jose Giants. Organizers noted the depth and diversity of San Jose sports history that makes selections difficult and celebrated welcoming these five inductees.
