Kostas Tsimikas to join Roma on loan - Soccer News
Briefly

Kostas Tsimikas is set to move to AS Roma on a season-long loan from Liverpool, with Roma paying his wages through June 2026. Milos Kerkez's arrival from Bournemouth reduced opportunities at left-back, leaving Tsimikas and Andy Robertson behind Kerkez in the pecking order. Atletico Madrid pursued Robertson at one point but did not complete a deal, making Tsimikas the likeliest departure. Olympique Marseille also enquired about the 29-year-old Greece international, but Roma progressed decisively and expect to finalize the loan soon. Tsimikas has made 115 appearances for Liverpool and provided 18 assists.
According to multiple sources, AS Roma have reached an agreement with Liverpool over the transfer of Kostas Tsimikas. The Greek left-back will join the Giallorossi on a season-long loan, and the Serie A side will cover his wages entirely until June, 2026. The arrival of Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth earlier this summer meant one of Tsimikas or Andy Robertson would likely leave before the end of the window.
Robertson was a target for Atletico Madrid at one point but the move did not materialize as the La Liga side chose to turn their attention elsewhere. With Kerkez and Robertson both ahead in the pecking order, it will apparently be Tsimikas who leaves Anfield. Olympique Marseille have reportedly enquired about the 29-year-old Greece international as well, but Roma have acted more decisively and should wrap the deal up very soon. Tsimikas has made a total of 115 appearances for Liverpool, with 18 assists to his name.
